One Market Street is located along the San Francisco waterfront at the foot of Market Street and the Embarcadero. Views of the iconic Ferry building and the Bay are offered from both roof terraces. The design replaces the thirty year old paving and furnishings at the Spear & Steuart 7th floor patios with an updated green roof vocabulary. The goal was to enliven the patios for tenants as well as viewers from surrounding skyscrapers. The two patios “mirror” each other. Any differences are due to solar orientation and microclimates – Steuart is more contemplative while Spear is more active and accommodates barbecues and events.
