Santa Clara Square is an existing retail complex that’s been re-envisioned by the Irvine Company. Working with Architects Orange, APDW has developed intricate paving and site furnishing designs while incorporating a lush landscape palette including biofiltration planting which accommodates all the site storm water run-off.  Our design preserves a heritage Redwood tree, while incorporating new large redwoods and signature Olive trees throughout.  As part of APDW’s sustainable strategy, we recommended the harvesting of existing redwoods that were unable to be preserved for the creation of custom site furniture that will be distributed in key locations throughout the retail complex.
