Eastridge Mall is an existing regional shopping center in San Jose. Gensler’s Los Angeles office teamed with APDW to re-brand the mall as a hip new shopping center evocative of the agrarian past of Santa Clara Valley, The Valley of Heart’s Delight.  The design team utilized graphics, agrarian materials and plantings to celebrate communal gathering spaces, nurture the human spirit and enjoy the sunny climate.  The new entries, gathering places in the mall, food hall, urban orchard park with its food trucks and pop-up food containers are all aimed to draw the community to “meet up and hang out”.
