APDW Project Featured in “Your Land” Publication
April is the World Landscape Architecture Month and we are happy to celebrate it with this publication on Vegetable Gardens! #WLAM2017 #thisislandscapearchitecture
Check out this new article about APDW’s project, published by Your Land…
Your Land is a one-time publication produced by Landscape Architecture Magazine (LAM) to introduce the profession of landscape architecture to students from grade school through high school.
The article talks about the increasing prevalence of vegetable gardens in public places, and emphasizes the important role of landscape architects like April Philips in designing community food gardens in urban environments. Using the case study of Miller Creek Edible Garden, the article highlights the community involvement, attention to organic food production, and “major bounty” of the garden, despite its small size.
