Mid-Level Landscape Architect (5-8 yrs)
We are growing our team and seeking a talented Career Track Landscape Architect with Leadership Skills and motivated Design Thinker with a desire to do design that matters. Our studio mission is to create design that makes an impact in shaping a more climate resilient, equitable and socially just world.
The Mid-Level Landscape Architect candidate’s primary role would be as a project manager and designer with proven experience on multi-discipline production packages from conceptual design through construction documentation production. We are looking for a highly creative individual who can draw, ideate and communicate with ease.
The right candidate is passionate about sustainable urban design and sound knowledge of landscape performance metrics. LEED or SITES AP is preferred. Candidate has 5 to 8 years of bay area experience primarily in mixed-use, high-density residential podium, urban waterfront park, hospitality, and urban infill projects.
Candidate has proven experience on in design production packages with suitable project captain/management experience for all phases of design; Is self-motivated and an innovative problem solver/design thinker; Is organized, works independently and collaboratively, and is an active team player. Candidate must be proficient in planting, grading, and detail development; California plants & WUCOLS; Proficient in ecological systems thinking and sustainable rating systems. High proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Adobe Products, and MS Office programs a must; other digital graphic programs a bonus. Candidate must have excellent hand drawings skills. Lumion is a plus; Very proficient in freehand, graphic and digital media presentation and visual communication skills.
Education:
- BLA or BSLA is required or MLA preferred.
- SITES AP, LEED AP or Bay Friendly certified a plus.
- Registered Landscape Architect or in progress of licensure
