The Redwoods landscape is designed to be a regenerative place where human health meets Sustainable SITES performance goals. Our objective was to create spaces that accommodate the physical, psychological, cultural, emotional and social needs of the seniors living at the facility. The redevelopment of The Redwoods aimed to go beyond a basic senior living community to create a dynamic environment for gerontology research and a landscape promoting engagement and memory care. It is widely recognized that our environment lends to our health and well-being. We designed this landscape to be a sanctuary that focuses on the individual, their senses, and their connection to the environment.
